Stihl MS 250, new carb kit, idles fine, screams with no load, bogs the second it touches wood.

Screams clean off-load means lean on the H screw. Richen it (counterclockwise) until it just starts to four-stroke with no load; that burble disappears under load and that is the right setting. If you cannot richen it enough, check the fuel filter and the impulse line. Lean saws score pistons fast, so do not run it until this is sorted.
